Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Property, Fire & Miscellaneous
- Provide strategic oversight on underwriting risk appraisal, pricing methodologies, and portfolio selection to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for external and internal stakeholder.
- Work with Distribution Channels to identify support areas and maintain collaborative relationships to ensure service delivery.
- Drive customer-centric product innovation, collaborating with product development, marketing, and distribution teams to refine product propositions.
- Take ownership of policy wording accuracy and integrity, ensuring clear articulation of underwriting intent and alignment with regulatory standards.
Key Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Property, Fire or Miscellaneous
- Local technical underwriting knowledge on and strong network across Malaysia is essential
- Thorough technical understanding of clauses, policy wordings, underwriting philosophies and pricing mechanisms.
- Strong client-management capabilities
