A leading international insurer is expanding its Fine Art & Specie portfolio across Asia and is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to join its regional team in Singapore.
This is a specialist underwriting opportunity offering exposure to complex and high-value risks across Jewellers Block, Fine Art, Specie, and related specialty insurance lines. The role combines technical underwriting, broker engagement, client relationship management, and portfolio development across the region.
Professionals with backgrounds in Jewellers Block, Fine Art & Specie are highly preferred, though candidates from Marine, Specialty, or Treaty Reinsurance environments with strong underwriting fundamentals will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Fine Art, Specie, and Jewellers Block risks across the region
- Evaluate submissions, assess risk exposures, and determine appropriate underwriting terms and pricing
- Negotiate policy coverage, terms, and conditions with brokers and clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and market stakeholders
- Review policy wordings and support the development of bespoke coverage solutions
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to profitable growth strategies
- Collaborate with claims, risk engineering, and regional underwriting teams
- Stay abreast of market developments, emerging risks, and industry trends
Key Requirements
- Strong experience within Jewellers Block, Fine Art & Specie underwriting preferred
- Candidates from Marine Insurance, Treaty Reinsurance backgrounds will also be considered
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, policy wordings, coverage structures, and risk assessment
- Experience managing broker and client relationships
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within regional teams
- Open to international candidates interested in relocating to Singapore
