A leading trust and fiduciary services provider is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to lead its compliance function in Singapore.
Reporting to the Head of Legal & Risk, you will oversee the firm’s regulatory compliance framework, lead a compliance team, and work closely with business units to ensure adherence to MAS regulations and industry best practices. This is a strategic leadership role offering broad exposure across compliance advisory, AML/CFT, governance, regulatory reporting, and enterprise risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the compliance team while driving a strong compliance culture.
- Oversee the firm’s compliance framework in accordance with MAS regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Develop, review, and implement compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments, gap analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Oversee AML, KYC, CFT, FATCA, and CRS compliance programmes.
- Review client onboarding, due diligence, and enterprise-wide risk assessments.
- Lead regulatory reporting and liaise with MAS, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct compliance training and provide advisory support to internal stakeholders.
- Support governance initiatives, internal projects, and continuous improvement of compliance processes.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of compliance experience, preferably within a Singapore-licensed Trust Company or Fiduciary Services provider.
- Strong knowledge of MAS regulations, AML/CFT, FATCA, CRS, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a compliance team.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
