A global technology-enabled insurance platform is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join its Malaysia team, taking ownership of the Policy Administration domain.
This role sits at the intersection of insurance, technology and product transformation. You will shape scalable capabilities covering the full policy lifecycle — from product configuration and underwriting through issuance, endorsements and renewals — while introducing automation and AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate product setup and processing across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Policy Administration domain from business outcomes and product strategy through to delivery.
- Drive scalable and reusable insurance product configuration across multiple markets.
- Develop capabilities supporting the full policy lifecycle, including issuance, endorsements, servicing and renewals.
- Enable flexible underwriting and multi-carrier product management capabilities.
- Translate complex insurance and business requirements into scalable, configurable platform solutions.
- Define end-to-end product requirements, user stories and priorities for cross-functional delivery teams.
- Embed AI and automation capabilities into product configuration and policy administration workflows.
- Collaborate with business, product, technology and other stakeholders across global markets.
- Continuously improve platform capabilities to enable faster product launches and greater operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of digital product management experience, including Policy Administration or insurance product configuration platforms.
- 5+ years as a Product Owner or similar role, delivering end-to-end product capabilities.
- Strong understanding of the insurance product lifecycle, including product setup, pricing, underwriting, policy servicing and renewal.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable and configurable technology solutions.
- Proven experience defining requirements and user stories for complex, multi-market platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled automation in product configuration or operations.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across global, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent English communication skills; Cantonese would be advantageous.
- Experience with PAS, configurable platforms, rule engines, SaaS or multi-tenant environments would be valuable.
- Exposure to B2B2C or embedded insurance models would be advantageous.
- Degree in Business, Computing, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
