Associate Director , Corporate Services (Jersey, Channel Islands)

A leading independent fiduciary and corporate services provider is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join its Jersey office.

This is a senior client-facing leadership role combining corporate administration, business development, team leadership, and commercial management. The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of complex corporate structures while acting as a trusted adviser to clients, intermediaries, family offices, and professional advisers.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of complex corporate structures and client relationships
  • Deliver technical expertise and tailored solutions to meet client needs and objectives
  • Act as a trusted adviser to clients, intermediaries, and professional advisers
  • Evaluate complex situations, identify risks, and implement commercially sound solutions
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality client service and fiduciary standards
  • Serve as an authorised signatory and senior escalation point for client matters

Business Growth

  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand existing client relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries, introducers, and professional advisers
  • Generate new business opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, market positioning, and service expansion
  • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and support conversion of new business
  • Enhance industry profile through thought leadership, networking, and market engagement

Commercial Management

  • Contribute to annual business planning and revenue targets
  • Drive achievement of billing, utilisation, and profitability objectives
  • Monitor chargeable time, client profitability, and service efficiency
  • Support commercial decision-making and financial performance management

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, AML, and CDD requirements
  • Maintain strong awareness of fiduciary, corporate governance, and regulatory developments
  • Support risk management initiatives and internal control frameworks
  • Escalate relevant matters and contribute to ongoing compliance improvements
  • Complete required professional development and maintain technical expertise

Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members
  • Support performance management, development planning, and succession initiatives
  • Act as a key point of contact for technical and client-related matters
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and high-performance standards across the team
  • Support trainee development and talent attraction initiatives

Key Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification in Corporate Governance, Accounting, Legal, or Fiduciary Services (e.g. CGI/ICSA, ACA, ACCA, STEP, CSI UK & Ireland, LLB or equivalent)
  • Significant experience within Corporate Services, Fiduciary Services, Trust & Corporate Administration, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships and corporate structures
  • Proven track record in business development and revenue generation
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills
