An international fund services provider is looking for an Associate – Investor Relations to join its Mumbai team.
The role offers hands-on exposure to the investor lifecycle across alternative investment funds, including Hedge Funds and Private Equity. You will support investor onboarding, subscription documentation, KYC/AML reviews, capital activity and ongoing investor communications, while working closely with Fund Administration, Tax and other internal teams.
This is a good progression opportunity for professionals with 2+ years of Investor Relations, Investor Services or related fund industry experience who want to deepen their expertise within alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review subscription documents across Hedge Funds, Private Equity funds and other investment vehicles.
- Review investor KYC/AML documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with clients and investors to obtain outstanding subscription information and documentation.
- Coordinate with Fund Administration, Tax and other teams on investor-related matters.
- Maintain and review relevant investor screening and compliance records.
- Prepare and distribute investor capital statements and capital call notices.
- Prepare contribution, distribution and redemption confirmation letters.
- Perform redemption confirmation calls with investors.
- Maintain accurate investor databases, records and supporting documentation.
- Support other investor servicing and operational requirements as required.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Investor Relations, Investor Services or a related fund services function.
- Understanding of the alternative investment industry, ideally across Hedge Funds and/or Private Equity.
- Exposure to investor onboarding, subscription processing and investor communications.
- Knowledge of KYC/AML requirements; familiarity with US and/or Cayman Islands requirements would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work effectively across different teams.
