Branch Manager / Senior Broker, General Insurance Broking (Seychelles) – Open to International Candidates

An established insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced General Insurance professional to lead business development, client management, and insurance placement activities in Seychelles.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a commercially driven broker to combine revenue generation, client advisory, and market placement responsibilities while contributing to the continued growth of the business. The successful candidate will work closely with corporate, mid-market, and SME clients, delivering tailored risk and insurance solutions across a broad range of commercial insurance lines.

Depending on experience, candidates may be considered at either Senior Broker or Branch Manager level.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the firm’s client portfolio
  • Generate new business opportunities across Large Corporate, Mid-Market, and SME segments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, CFOs, Risk Managers, and senior decision-makers
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through cross-selling and advisory solutions
  • Achieve agreed revenue, retention, and growth objectives

Insurance Broking & Placement

  • Advise clients on risk management and insurance programme design
  • Structure and negotiate insurance solutions with local and international insurance markets
  • Manage the end-to-end placement process, ensuring competitive coverage and pricing outcomes
  • Support clients on renewals, policy reviews, and insurance strategy discussions
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriting partners

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide guidance and support to junior brokers and client servicing professionals
  • Contribute to business planning, market development, and growth initiatives
  • Promote best practices in client servicing, broking, and placement activities
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team culture

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Maintain oversight of KYC, AML, and client due diligence requirements
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation standards
  • Support risk management and operational governance initiatives

Key Requirements

  • At least 7–15+ years of experience within General Insurance Broking
  • Strong track record in both business development and insurance placement
  • Experience servicing Large Corporate, Mid-Market, and SME clients
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and risk management principles
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional insurance qualifications such as ACII, Dip CII, Cert CII, ANZIIF, or equivalent are advantageous
