Broking Account Manager – General Insurance (Kuala Lumpur)

Our client is expanding its General Insurance broking team in Kuala Lumpur and is seeking driven, client-focused Broking Account Managers to manage and grow SME, mid-market, and large corporate portfolios.

This role offers strong exposure to sales, renewals, client advisory, insurer negotiations, and cross-selling, within a professional and compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales and renewals across General Insurance products.
  • Support business development efforts, including insurance placement and negotiations with insurers.
  • Conduct risk and needs analysis, providing tailored insurance recommendations to clients.
  • Build, manage, and grow a client portfolio, with a focus on cross-selling opportunities.
  • Prepare renewal presentations, RFPs, and client reports.
  • Liaise with insurers on renewal terms, endorsements, and policy placement.
  • Handle client enquiries and provide support throughout the claims process.
  • Deliver presentations to client stakeholders when required.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal guidelines.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience in General Insurance broking is mandatory.
  • BCCITB certification is required (regulatory compliance).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client management skills.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering excellence.
