Our client is expanding its General Insurance broking team in Kuala Lumpur and is seeking driven, client-focused Broking Account Managers to manage and grow SME, mid-market, and large corporate portfolios.
This role offers strong exposure to sales, renewals, client advisory, insurer negotiations, and cross-selling, within a professional and compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales and renewals across General Insurance products.
- Support business development efforts, including insurance placement and negotiations with insurers.
- Conduct risk and needs analysis, providing tailored insurance recommendations to clients.
- Build, manage, and grow a client portfolio, with a focus on cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare renewal presentations, RFPs, and client reports.
- Liaise with insurers on renewal terms, endorsements, and policy placement.
- Handle client enquiries and provide support throughout the claims process.
- Deliver presentations to client stakeholders when required.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal guidelines.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience in General Insurance broking is mandatory.
- BCCITB certification is required (regulatory compliance).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client management skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering excellence.
