A leading private markets platform is seeking a Compliance Officer / Conducting Officer to join its Luxembourg office.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for developing and overseeing the compliance framework for a MiFID-regulated business while supporting operations across Luxembourg, the UK, Europe, and APAC. You will play a key role in regulatory governance, compliance advisory, AML/CFT oversight, and engagement with regulators, helping to shape the firm’s compliance culture as it continues to grow internationally.
The successful candidate will also act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) / Responsable du Contrôle (RC) for the Luxembourg entity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the firm’s regulatory compliance framework across Luxembourg and the UK.
- Act as Compliance Officer and MLRO / RC for the Luxembourg regulated entity.
- Advise senior management on MiFID II, AIFMD, AML/CFT, and regulatory developments.
- Develop compliance policies, procedures, and monitoring programmes.
- Perform second-line compliance monitoring and oversight.
- Oversee AML/CFT, KYC, client classification, conflicts of interest, and investor protection controls.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting, CSSF submissions, and compliance dashboards.
- Support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and remediation programmes.
- Deliver compliance training and promote a strong compliance culture across the business.
- Partner with global stakeholders to strengthen governance and risk management practices.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience within Asset Management, Private Banking, Investment Services, or Private Markets in Luxembourg.
- Strong knowledge of MiFID II, AIFMD, CSSF, ESMA, MAR, and AML/CFT regulations.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with MLRO / RC responsibilities would be highly advantageous.
- Professional qualifications such as ICA, CAMS, CISI, legal qualification, or equivalent would be preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English; French or German would be advantageous.
