Our client is seeking an experienced Digital Product Lead / Product Owner with strong General Insurance (GI) domain knowledge and a solid technology background to drive the development and enhancement of its digital insurance platforms.
The role focuses on Policy Administration Systems (PAS), product configuration and end-to-end policy lifecycle management, supporting scalable digital solutions across multiple insurance products and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for digital Policy Administration and GI product configuration platforms.
- Lead the development and enhancement of solutions supporting product setup, pricing, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements and renewals.
- Translate complex insurance business requirements into functional specifications, user stories and scalable technology solutions.
- Manage product backlogs, prioritise development initiatives and coordinate delivery through Agile teams.
- Collaborate with software developers, QA, architects and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Drive standardisation, automation and reusability of product configuration and policy administration capabilities across markets.
- Explore AI-enabled solutions to improve product configuration, validation and policy processing.
- Support configurable underwriting rules, multi-carrier product management and MGA-related capabilities.
- Coordinate with underwriting, operations, distribution and technology teams to support platform readiness and implementation.
- Monitor platform performance, operational efficiency and product configuration effectiveness to identify improvements.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in digital product ownership, insurance technology delivery or General Insurance application development, preferably involving Policy Administration Systems.
- Good knowledge of multiple General Insurance products and their end-to-end business processes.
- Solid technical understanding of insurance applications, software development, system integration and application operations.
- Hands-on experience defining functional requirements, user stories, solution specifications and product roadmaps.
- Experience managing complex technology initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, systems or markets.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product backlog management and software development lifecycles.
- Exposure to SaaS platforms, embedded insurance, B2B2C models or MGA operations would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in Cantonese and English, with the ability to engage effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
