An international fund services provider is looking for an experienced Director – Private Equity Fund Accounting to lead fund accounting teams servicing Private Equity and Private Credit clients in Singapore.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility across client delivery, fund accounting oversight, team leadership, new fund onboarding and operational improvement. The Director will also act as a senior escalation point for clients while ensuring service standards and deliverables are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fund accounting teams providing full fund administration services to Private Equity and Private Credit clients.
- Review and oversee NAV calculations, financial reporting and related fund deliverables.
- Oversee investor servicing activities including onboarding, capital calls, distributions and investor reporting.
- Interpret fund documentation and apply relevant terms to financial reporting, income and expense allocations and fund accounting activities.
- Review complex calculations including management fees, performance fees and waterfalls.
- Lead the onboarding of new clients and funds, including fund document review and system setup.
- Manage client relationships and act as a senior escalation point for complex issues and queries.
- Liaise with external service providers to ensure smooth and timely service delivery.
- Ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and in accordance with agreed SLAs.
- Oversee work allocation, team utilisation, cross-training and resource coverage.
- Develop team capabilities and ensure appropriate resources are available to meet client and organisational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiency.
- Participate in broader client and company initiatives as required.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of progressive fund administration experience, with strong exposure to Private Equity and/or Private Credit funds.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing fund accounting teams.
- In-depth understanding of private markets fund structures and accounting, including waterfall calculations.
- Strong accounting knowledge covering management and performance fees, FX translation, profit and loss and balance sheets.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Singapore GAAP; knowledge of additional accounting standards would be advantageous.
- Excellent client management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification preferred.
