Finance Manager, Hedge Fund (Singapore) – Contract

A global hedge fund is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join its Singapore office on an 8-month fixed-term contract.

Working within a lean Finance and Control environment, you will take broad ownership across financial control, statutory and regulatory reporting, tax, treasury, budgeting and management reporting for the Singapore entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close and internal and external financial reporting for Singapore legal entities.
  • Manage statutory reporting and regulatory financial filings, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Oversee tax accounting matters including income tax, GST and transfer pricing, working alongside the Tax team.
  • Develop management reporting, forecasts and budgets in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Manage treasury activities including cash and capital forecasting, liquidity management and non-trading FX.
  • Support regulatory capital and financial reporting requirements for the Singapore business.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, identifying and addressing operational and financial risks.
  • Contribute to finance automation and AI-enabled process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance, Control and other stakeholders across Singapore and global offices.
  • Support the wider Finance team across key business and control priorities.
  • Maintain clear documentation of finance processes and controls and ensure a comprehensive handover upon completion of the contract.

 

Key Requirements

  • Singapore Chartered Accountant or international equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of Finance & Accounting experience, ideally within Hedge Funds, Trading Firms, Banks or other Financial Institutions.
  • Experience with regulatory capital, taxation and financial control requirements.
  • Working knowledge of financial instruments (including derivatives) and their accounting and valuation.
  • Experience across treasury, cash management, forecasting and/or management reporting.
  • Exposure to automation tools and technology-led finance process improvements.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously within a lean, high-performing environment.
