A well-established technology-driven organization is looking for an Information Security Engineer to support and enhance its security operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding systems, networks, and data, while ensuring compliance with internal security policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of security systems across the organization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure security protocols align with risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with IT & Application teams on threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across systems and applications, and ensure prompt response.
- Evaluate existing security systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with security frameworks and certification requirements; support the re-certification process in coordination with external assessors.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to security procedures, incidents, and configurations.
- Stay updated on the latest threats and recommend relevant security enhancements.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security operations.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and application development/programming.
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP networks, firewalls, IPS, and operating systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to security matters.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
