An international fund administration firm with a strong regional presence is expanding its Kuala Lumpur team and looking for Junior Fund Accountants.
This is an excellent entry point into the fund and alternative investment industry for accounting and finance graduates. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with structured on-the-job training and guidance provided to help you build practical fund accounting knowledge.
You will gain exposure to investment funds, NAV calculations, financial reporting and international clients, with opportunities to progress into Senior Fund Accountant and broader fund services roles as your technical and client-facing capabilities develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for investment funds.
- Perform cash, position and other account reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Develop knowledge of investment products, fund structures, fees and distributions.
- Review fund documentation, operating memoranda and pricing policies.
- Support financial statement preparation and year-end audits.
- Liaise with auditors and internal teams on fund accounting matters.
- Respond to client requests and support timely delivery of fund reports.
- Identify and escalate accounting or operational discrepancies where appropriate.
- Participate in team projects and continuous process improvements.
- Develop technical fund accounting skills through hands-on training and practical exposure.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with up to 1–2 years of accounting or fund accounting experience are also welcome.
- Fund accounting experience is not essential for fresh graduates; training will be provided.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Collaborative team player with good communication skills.
