Senior Vice President, Real Assets Fund Administration (Sydney, Australia)

We are working with a global fund services provider seeking an experienced leader to oversee fund accounting and client servicing for real assets portfolios across Australia. This position plays a key role in managing client relationships, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of fund accounting services, and driving operational excellence across processes, teams, and systems.

The Senior Vice President will also provide strategic oversight on financial reporting, resource planning, and audit coordination while mentoring a team of professionals and contributing to ongoing process and performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary relationship lead for key real assets clients, ensuring service delivery aligns with SLAs and industry standards.
  • Oversee client onboarding, quarterly reviews, and performance analysis to maintain profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational issues and identify value-added opportunities.
  • Drive revenue growth and monitor account performance, including budgeting, billing, and collections.
  • Support business development initiatives and represent the firm in client presentations and reviews.
  • Lead end-to-end financial and accounting processes for real assets funds, including NAV reporting, capital activity, and audit coordination.
  • Review financial statements, fund models, and variance analyses to ensure compliance with AASB, IFRS, or US GAAP.
  • Manage process improvements and system enhancements to ensure efficiency, control, and scalability.
  • Conduct regular client risk assessments and ensure compliance with governance, risk, and control frameworks.
  • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Plan team resources and support recruitment and succession planning initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience in fund accounting, audit, or administration, with good exposure to real assets or real estate funds.
  • Strong understanding of AASB, IFRS, and US GAAP reporting standards.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and large-scale client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Experience with Yardi or similar real estate systems preferred.
