A leading global alternative investment services platform is seeking an experienced Private Equity Fund Accounting professional to join its Mumbai office as a Team Leader / Assistant Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & Client Delivery
- Serve as the primary reviewer and quality control lead for all fund accounting deliverables produced by the team
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of client deliverables in accordance with internal quality standards
- Review NAV calculations, capital activity, and fund accounting records
- Review calculations and allocations relating to management fees, carried interest, incentive fees, and other fund-level transactions
- Prepare and review investor reporting packages, including capital calls, distributions, investor notices, and capital account statements
- Review financial statements and supporting schedules for private equity fund structures
- Act as a key escalation point for technical accounting and operational matters
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and relationship managers
- Participate in client calls, review meetings, and operational discussions
- Proactively manage client expectations and service delivery timelines
- Drive high levels of client satisfaction through quality execution and responsive communication
- Support ongoing improvement of service delivery standards
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop fund accounting professionals within the team
- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices across teams
- Support performance management, goal setting, and professional development initiatives
- Encourage employee engagement and retention through coaching and leadership support
- Help build future leadership capability within the team
Key Requirements
- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification
- At least 6+ years of experience in Fund Accounting, preferably with Private Equity fund exposure
- Good understanding of private equity fund structures, investor reporting, and fund accounting processes
- Experience reviewing financial statements, capital calls, distributions, and fund performance reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
