Vice President – Corporate Secretarial & Client Services (St Helier, Jersey)

Overview

An established international fund and corporate services provider is seeking a senior leader to head its Corporate Secretarial – Client Services function in Jersey. This role sits at the intersection of client leadership, operational excellence, and team management, with responsibility for both local delivery and cross-jurisdictional coordination.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced corporate governance professional who enjoys driving service quality, shaping strategy, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop corporate secretarial teams locally and across multiple jurisdictions
  • Foster a high-performance, client-centric culture aligned with regulatory and service excellence
  • Oversee recruitment, performance management, coaching, and professional development

Client Relationship & Commercial Oversight

  • Act as senior point of contact for a portfolio of key fund and SPV clients
  • Own service delivery, SLA negotiation, and overall client satisfaction
  • Support growth initiatives through cross-selling and deeper client engagement
  • Partner with relationship management teams to meet financial and performance targets

Service Delivery & Governance

  • Provide subject-matter expertise on corporate governance, legal, and regulatory matters
  • Attend board meetings and act as officer or director of client entities where required
  • Ensure consistent delivery of services in line with regulatory obligations and internal controls
  • Drive transparent communication across operational, legal, and compliance teams

Operational Excellence & Risk Management

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Maintain oversight of policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks
  • Manage escalation of risk events and ensure timely resolution

Key Requirements

  • At least 7–9 years’ experience in corporate secretarial or corporate services roles
  • Strong knowledge of alternative asset structures, SPVs, and fund governance
  • Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and complex portfolios
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICSA / CGI, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Prior team management experience is highly preferred
